Leroy Somer AVR R450M – Automatic Voltage Regulator
The R450M is a rugged automatic voltage regulator (AVR) designed for brushless industrial alternators. Available with single-phase sensing and Mate-N-Lok™ connectors, it supports SHUNT, AREP or PMG excitation systems—delivering reliable performance in demanding applications. 

Key Specifications:

• Rated excitation current up to 6 A continuous. 

• Regulation accuracy approximately ±0.5% at constant speed. 

• Frequency range: ~10–100 Hz. 

• Compatible excitation modes: SHUNT, AREP (auxiliary-winding), PMG. 

• Built-in features: Load Acceptance Module (LAM), over-excitation limitation, voltage sensing loss protection, droop for paralleling. 

• Operating temperature range: –40°C to +70°C (typical) or –20°C to +70°C depending on spec sheet. 

• Connector style: Mate-N-Lok™ for secure industrial connections. 

• Designed for alternator frames such as LSA40 through LSA50.2 and TAL46 to TAL49.
