Leroy Somer AVR R450 – Automatic Voltage Regulator
The R450 is a reliable analog Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) designed for use with SHUNT, AREP or PMG excitation systems on industrial alternators (especially the LSA series). 
It offers excellent performance, simple adjustment, and strong protection features for varied generator applications. 

Key Specifications:

• Regulation Accuracy: ±0.5% at rated speed, steady state. 

• Nominal Excitation Current: 6 A continuous; Maximum Excitation: 10 A for 10 s. 

• Voltage Sensing Ranges: 0-110 V terminals (95-140 V), 0-220 V (170-260 V), 0-380 V (340-528 V) for single-phase sensing. 

• Operating Temperature: approximately –40 °C to +65 °C. 

• Protection & Features: Built-in Load Acceptance Module (LAM) for load change handling; over-excitation limitation; voltage sensing loss protection; voltage droop for paralleling. 

• Compatible with excitation types: SHUNT, AREP (auxiliary winding booster), and PMG (permanent magnet generator).
