Leroy Somer AVR R449 – Automatic Voltage Regulator
The R449 is a robust analog Automatic Voltage Regulator designed for industrial alternators using SHUNT, AREP or PMG excitation systems. It delivers excellent voltage regulation and quick response to load changes, making it suitable for medium-to-large generator sets. The unit is engineered to meet stringent standards and provide long-term reliability.

Key Specifications:

• Steady-state voltage regulation: ±0.5%. 

• Nominal excitation current: 7 A continuous; maximum excitation current: 15 A for 10 seconds. 

• Compatible sensing supply range: 85 V to 520 V AC (50/60 Hz) for voltage detection.

• Response time: around 500 ms typical.

• Operating temperature: approximately –30 °C to +65 °C.

• Built-in functions: U/f (voltage/frequency) function, Load Acceptance Module (LAM) optional. 

• Compatible with SO (Stamford) LSA 50-series alternators and similar frames.
