Basler ICRM-7 – Inrush Current Reduction Module

The Basler ICRM-7 is a protective accessory module designed to safeguard PWM-type automatic voltage regulators (AVRs) and excitation control systems during startup. It limits high inrush currents that occur when energizing from a low-impedance source, ensuring smooth power-up and long-term reliability of the regulator and connected equipment.

By inserting controlled resistance during startup, the ICRM-7 prevents excessive surge currents that can damage sensitive electronic components. It is ideal for industrial generator systems and digital excitation controllers, providing reliable, maintenance-free protection in harsh operating environments.
